None heard of him im sure, even i found hard time trying to collect those info

Ýmam Ali Mohammed  burnt alive at his house when he went to clean it before he actually leave to another area because of  anti-Muslim harassment , but... they were faster !

Ýmam Ali Mohammed, formerly of Yermo, was found dead- burnt alive- at his house. His house was a lot that contained several buildings, one of them was used as the Yermo mosque. In 2007, that mosque was burnt down. The suspects were arrested, however, it was not considered a hate crime.

Imam Ali´s family is well known in the High Desert- those of you not familiar, California has a high desert northeast of Los Angeles, the cities of Palmdale, Lancaster, Edwards Air Force Base, Rosmond, Barstow, Victerville, Apple Valley, and others make up this region- he was a regular khateeb (Friday Sermons) at the Palmdale Mosque. He was the father of nine kids, Jordanian immigrant, who had resided here for some 30 years ago.

Imam Ali´s Mosque in Yermo served some 200 Muslims in that area and some 22 families were regular attendees. Imam Ali decided to close up and move his family to Victorville, some 30 minutes away. The family says they had had a difficult time dealing with the anti-Muslim harassment and prejudice by individuals in the area.

Imam Ali went back to his house in Yermo, after reports came to the family that the house had been vandalized.

who cares if a muslim is killed by christians? one million of them are killed in Iraq. One million of "terrorists" for christians. If someone is killed by christians,  he is a terrorist or a terrorist, and the death of a terrorist doesn`t deserve media coverage.

Like it happened with Marwa El Sherbini, our Egyptian woman who was stabbed at courtroom in Germany 18 time and the police shot her husband who was helping her and also stabbed 5 times.

What is making me actually mad is the reaction of people at forums, youtube ..etc

Some is happy and calling for more death

Some saying , and many women die for honor killing ´ i dont understand what does this really justify´

Some saying we dont want Muslims living with us, go home ´ ok dont come to our countries too ! ´

Some saying the killer is a hero

And few, really few saying its sad dont condemn all german society for that !

They Truly...TRULY hate us with a full meaning of that word in a way i never expected nor dreamed of !

They plant hate, and then blame us !

And cant understand why !

It is very hard to understand why people hate other people that they don´t even know.  Things like this go on everywhere, Canli.....against every conceiveable group or minority, not just muslims, or christians, or jews, or women....hate is a human disease.  It rises out of misinformation, ignorance and then festers until it can no longer be contained but explodes into a violent act that makes us wonder how society can breed such monsters.

My heart is troubled though, Canli.....troubled that this site is used as a tool, not to discuss a hate crime and how terrible it is, but for certain groups to "prove" how they are being treated badly, misunderstood, ect......I am sure if I googled "hate crimes against Christians" (or against women, or against anyone) I would find some horrible article to "prove" that the world hates Christians (or whoever) and we could argue about how the world hates Muslims more....but enough already.

Maybe I am totally off base, but this is getting old......I want to read something on this site that inspires me.  The truth of the matter is, most muslims and christians live together in peace.....I am living proof that it is possible.  Where is Roswitha to post some lovely articles about Turkish culture when we need her?

the issue here is the christian hypocrisy, not who kills whom.  google this murder and see what you get. any news on cnn? fox news? if a christian priest was killed in a muslim country all the christian media would be talking about it, and you would see all the christian comments on the internet, suggesting muslims are animals and the christians should nuke them? where are the news for this man killed? why doesn`t it deserve the coverage a christian would get? would you know about this murder if canli hadn`t opened this thread?      but if it`s muslim it`s a terrorist and he deserves getting murdered, right? so who cares? we can`t even call the murderers christian terrorists when they clearly are because according to this famous christian motto "not all muslims are terrorists but all the terrorists are muslims". so there is nothing called christian terrorist, and thus this murder didn`t exist.

tami - Christians do not corner the market on hypocracy.  What you are saying is ......Not all Christians are hypocrits but all Hypocrits are Christians?  My point is, I personally am tired of this arguement...it is old and quite frankly, there is not way that either of us can win.  I can find an article to support my view just as easily.....big deal.  Then you will find one, and then I will find another.....it accomplishes nothing.  It doesn´t make me feel better to prove myself right or to prove you wrong.  It takes something away from who we are when all we can do is perpetuate the hate between us.  PEACE OUT!!

just like what Bush says, eh?  btw, I`ve never said, "not all the christians are hypocrites but all the hypocrites are christians" that`s your motto, and I have no intention to use it as it`s not very creative.
