Haha, I love eggplant dishes!! It´s interesting that they talk so much about spices, are spices really that important in turkish cuisine?

I think so I see many types of pepper when I go even to a simple restaurant

I like the fact that Turkish dishes are not very spicy, like Indian food for example (which seems to be all spice, no taste!!). Maybe the fact that Turkish cuisine uses milder spices makes it so delicious!!?

I think you must have eaten the wrong Indian dishes. Many are indeed hot enough to blow your head off but many others are mild, full of flavour and just gorgeous!
I´m drooling now!

I have been to Indian restaurants couple of times and I don´t have good memories. No offence it´s just not for me, I guess. And I love spicy food very much by the way. Mexican food for example was always tasty for me with all its spices.

I think it´s the most commonly eaten food in England as far as takeaway and restaurant meals are concerned. After a night out at the pub it´s very common to ´go for an Indian´

Did you see the fantastic clip by the people who did the Kumars? It is called "going for an English" and is a bunch of Indians going for English food, and behaving just like a bunch of English going for an Indian. Complete with the girl who wants something bland, being unable to remember the name of the foods, and the guy who drops asleep half way through!

This could be a first because I agree with catwoman here. I prefer to know what I am eating and curry powder is often used to mask some dodgy ingredients. Give me good Scottish cuisine anytime.
