Because you edited it, sweety. It´s not the text article what it was before in your link (I read it) but just a picture page. You cheated.

It´s a shame about what happened, but I don´t think it´s a reflection on the entire Dutch community. In my perception the Netherlands are one of the most tolerant and welcoming countries. If anything, your post documents that there are idiots, racists, and vandals everywhere.
I´m just wondering, how do you find those articles? This one was in Dutch and I doubt you actually speak it. Do you make it a point to research articles that confirm your persecution complex?
Unfortunately, we lost that tolerant label. Yes, I think we were very tolerant in the past but due to many problems with non-natives or second/third generation immigrants, a lot of my countrymen became more rightwing. I regret that, though sometimes I can understand the anger when again several robbings, abuse, rape, murders, thefts, name-callings, threats have happened in about a week time and a lot of the perpetrators have non-Dutch roots. The latter is not important - at least not to me - but what is important is that these criminals, born here!, say ´we are not Dutch, we are Moroccon/Turkish/Nigerian/Somalian and we spit on your country. We will destroy your society´. Then people become angry and say ´if you don´t like us, go away, if not voluntarily we will kick you out´. All this made the upcoming of a very rightwing party possible, now 9 seats in parliament out of 150, but in polls good for 25-30. I think that is scary. And about those idiots that draw swastikas: they are crazy and I hope police will catch them but as you said, those people are everywhere. Only point is that for our sweet, young Tami we (Western, Christians or not) all are nazi´s. He is too unexperienced to see that in any country bad people live.

by the way, can you give me a source proving that Moroccans, Nigerian, Somalians, and Turks say "we are not dutch and we spit on your country"?

are you sure that it`s Dutch? it seems and sounds very English to me. I posted the source I got the article from. and I don`t know what you mean by "persecution complex", but I post them because the christian media will never publish such news.

The original link you had was a link to a Dutch site with pictures.
I don´t know what Christian media you´re referring to, but I would be surprised if that news did make it to the US for example. It seems more of a local issue of hate-based vandalism, which is a bit too remote of an issue for American audience to be considered newsworthy. If the Turkish cultural center here in Chicago was vandalised like that, I think I´d pay more attention. And I don´t know if the Dutch media reported it, I venture they must have, since the author of the blog did find out about it.
That´s an interesting blog by the way. You seemed to skip the news about the Turkish citizen accused of planning a terrorist attack against US interests in Germany. I haven´t seen the Christian media report that one either by the way.

why dont you check out the thread about the muslim man whose house got bombed by christian nazis in california? have you ever heard of it? google it and see if you can get anything from a christian news site.
and I think by that Turkish citizen planning an attack in Germany or whatever it is, you mean this
http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,538767,00.html
foxnews is the most christian news channel I know. Are you still sure that the christian media didn`t report it? google it.
and if it`s all about locality, why do all the christian news channels report a Turk`s attacking a christian missionary?

I know what the problem is!!! You watch Christian news too much! No wonder you feel so frustrated!
I don´t have all the answers for you Tami, maybe the media reports whatever they feel is relevant or whatever they feel will "sell". Compared with the media in Europe for example, American media definitely report less of the important news and I don´t think it´s because they don´t want to, I think it´s because people generally (not everybody of course, but many) don´t care all that much about what happens "across the pond" or in the world generally. It´s sad, but what can you do. Force people to care and want to know?
