Yes they were tortured at least 10 times worse than other leftist just because they were kurdish leftist and speaking kurdish and listening to kurdish songs. Do you really think there was no kurdish problem before PKK?  Do you think those kurdish were tortured that bad just because they are communists?  There was always the same problem, and what happened during " 12 th september "  to those kurds just made them start PKK quicker.

what makes me angry is that people deliberately are kept ignorant about what happened in Diyarbakýr Prison. i personally didnt know about it until i read Yýldýrým Türker´s article which thehandsom posted last year. Just try to be open to what others say instead of defending the status quo so passionately. There is alwasy something to learn.

yes there was a torturemeter connected to those torturees and it`s recorded that the Kurdish leftists got tortured 10.89364 times worse than the Turkish leftists.

why should I read the taraf crap to know what happened? I know what happened in all Turkey, not just diyarbakir.

I guess you were talking about this post:

Well..

I mean, what can you say?

There is this as ´a fact´ basically..

People are there  and out ; what is done is out; what is said during these ´turtures´  is out; the result is still with us; and the people who were  there ( or not) talking about   the ´extra´ treatment  in that jail etc etc

In the end,

This is something  happened in our country.

Denying this  will be participating this crime mentally...

Some people  will keep denying it.. or tearing their bottom to discredit it because it will prove ´they were wrong all along´..

But thanks for reminding us above thread from RADIKAL (as opposing to Taraf   ) ..

..infamous Diyarbakir Prison

The future of the Diyabakir Prison, which stands as a testament to Turkey’s modern history and some say is the place where the outlawed Kurdistan Workers’ Party was born, is in the process of being determined. Some call for the prison to become a monument to freedom, others say it should be a home to education and yet others say it should become nothing at all

Infamous for torturing prisoners after the 1980 military coup, Diyarbakir Prison is now the center of a debate ...

It has long been said Diyarbakir Prison is the place where the outlawed Kurdistan Workers’ Party, or PKK, was born as a reaction to the terrible experiences in the prison. ...

Everyone agrees that something inhumane happened there. We want this place to be a museum for it to be a lesson to humanity. We do not want it to be forgotten,..

The prison has become a symbol because of the barbarity experienced there,...

===========

It looks like what we were saying here about this prison and its relation to kurdish movement were RIGHT all the way..

will People  still deny these facts?

lol
