"Adam gibi" siirinin Ingilizceye cevirisi icin tesekkurler. Ben de acaba ingilizcesi var mi diye ararken buraya rastladim. Yalniz ceviride Ingilizceye aykiri ve gramer hatalari olan yerler oldugunu gordum (kusura bakmayin). Beraber calistigimiz bir Amerikali'ya (Ingiliz Edebiyati ogretim uyesi) gosterdim ve kendisinden ayakustu biraz duzeltme yapmasini istedim. Ortaya cikan tercumeyi sizinle paylasmak istiyorum:

cümlesi de çok güzel duruyor ama "yorgun olduğumuz akşamlar" dan ziyade, akşamların yorulduğunu ifade etmek istiyor bence, tabi edebi bir şey, mecaz var. yani belki böyle farklı olabilir biraz. tekrar teşekkürler.

Evet haklisin. Aksamlarin yorgunlugundan bahsediliyor. Bir kelime veya deyim'in baska bir dilde karsilik bulabilmesi icin o kulturde de ayni duygu veya tabirlerin olmasi gerek, yoksa okuyan kisi icin hic bir sey ifade etmiyor. Bizim Turkcemiz ve edebiyatimiz, kulturumuzun ve dini motiflerin etkisiyle cok cok genis. Dolayisiyla bire bir ceviri yapmak imkansiz. Cok basit bir ornek: Ingilizcede "Afiyet Olsun", "minnet Duymak", "basa kakmamk", "Allah canimi alsin ki...", "cocugumun basi ustune....", "kusmek" gibi kelimeler ve duygular yok dolayisiyla tercume yapilirken en fazla yapilabilecek sey uzun yoldan veya olabilecek en yakin anlamiyla ifade etmeye calismak.

bir de mesela, "ekmeği sevdiğim gibi sevdim" diyor, şimdi biz Türklerin ekmek tüketimini göz önünde bulundurmadan çevirirsek, aynı bu örnekteki gibi "love food" ortaya çıkıyor
