I wonder if those prisoners are really having fun. It looks like fun and games to us, but I don´t think I would enjoy being made to do anything, be it march or dance. I wonder if they have the option to say no if they don´t want to participate.

Aaahhhhh... I think this is a VERY good topic!!! Unfortunately, I don´t know enough about it yet to speak my mind on this issue (and I"m afraid to learn more too, because I know that I will only be angry with what we have now!!!). But there are some opinions that the situation in prisons mostly create worse criminals.. Certainly there has to be a punishment for certain actions.. but do we always punish the right things? Do we keep offenders in prisons for the right amount of time? For example, a domestic violence offender spends a few nights in jail, then gets out and beats the hell out of his family even worse then before! While the drug trafficking person never hurt anyone, but stays in prison for a few months to years!
I personally think our judicial system is corrupt, however with that being said it is better than most countries. It´s typically about the almighty dollar...if you have money then you can buy anyone off in certain cases. I believe that prisons should ONLY be for those that are violent offenders. Drug users, dealers, DUI cases should all be put in a seperate rehabilitation division...but no prison. Sex offenders should be flown to a remote deserted island.
I don´t think prison should be "fun"....maybe that´s one of the main problems is that the punishment doesn´t fit the crime. If the punishment was harsher maybe there would be less criminals.

First of all, I think there should be separate prisons for first-time offenders and hardened criminals. More often than not, if a person gets to prison for things like freud or unpaid tickets and meets there murderers or rapists, he´s on a good way to pick up bad habits just to get through the sentence. Then, there should be obligation to work and the money made would be the money spent on their food and bills or contribution to victims fund. Thus it would be a motivation for them to work.
I think people in jails are treated better than they deserve

Deserted island where there are cannibals living, and should have their penises cut off!
