Quoting Yersu

Ptaszek; I don´t know if that is irony and you are trying to imply I am a weird individual but I assure you, I am the average Turkish person.

Yersu

I guess you have assumed that I am giving you the cold shoulder or the brush off since I exposed some of your post content to a bit of mockery.I know I will sound like an old record again but can you come to terms with the fact that I am not implying ,stating, considering etc you as a weird person.

We are all here in an open forum, posting anything means we are deliberately exposing ourselves to criticism, likes and dislikes of what we have written, agreement or disagreement.

Thus,I am far away and I can imply others as well from criticising you as a person and perceiving you the way you wrote in the opening sentence.

Just for your info, all active members here are a bit weirdIt makes this site more fascinating for sure.

If an average Turkish person had learnt some English beyond "your eyes is beuty" and if he had a little knowledge of the stuff going on outside of Turkish borders, you would have hundreds of Yersu´s running around in the forums. OMG,should I treat it as a promise or a threat?

Now from time to time, I see some individuals who seem to have embraced the European style of thinking. Most of them are self haters, let me sum up what they are trying to say: "Hey lookie here I am not backwards! We, Turks are European too you know? Oh please please accept me ". Don´t let such exceptional cases fool you. Majority of Turks are not like that, they just don´t know how to troll forums.

I know what you mean for our national experience resembles a lot situation described by you

We just want acceptance as the people we are, not if we comply with the western standards. So it makes me feel really sad, as if I was a delirious person or something, when people find my thoughts outright weird or ridiculous. Because it sure isn´t weird for me or for the people around me!

You have a point here and my apologies if you really had such impression.Thank you for being straight forward. And don´t get discouraged ,just be yourself the way you like it.

Anyway, as I am Turkishness incarnate, I think I would really be a good teacher for such a class.

You know what,at first I thought you do not have any sense of humour..was wrong)

I hope you will  take many things here with a pinch of salt.

Welcome to the TLC jungle...enjoy it!!!
