I was just zapping on tv today and saw the show program "The Weakest Link" on BBC Prime.

I think she is the nightmare of the competitors over there, she was just humiliating and having fun of those people god! It was funny though from time to time.

On the show today, there was a lady and she was ordering her about doing a belly dancing which she told she was doing that when she was questioned about what she is doing by the resprestor lady. And the funny thing is that lady was doing that belly dancing. As that lady had kinda some big boobs, she was asking " how long it takes them to stop after you shake your upper side?" God!!!

So who is the weakest link of TLC ?

I always thought it was pronounced ´ee-beetha´ Unsure - but then Anne Robinson constantly pronounces words wrongly!

The original format was the English/Anne Robinson one - so yes of course, when other countries buy the format, they try to emulate the original

What do you mean "is she femminist" btw!!!

I asked because this look fits the description of how i portray a feminist, i know its not good to classify people according to their looks but somehow thats rooted on my mind. I am sorry if i offended any feminist hereWink

The Polish one is a 120% feminist (and a literature critic)

Oh yeah, you apologized so that´s ok. I, as a woman, am not supposed to have a problem with somebody thinking feminism is something negative and using that to berate another woman. And then using the same (negative in your mind) epithet to respond to my post. So for you feminists are angry women? How about those are women who respect the dignity of both males and females and consider them to have equal value as human beings. The woman in question happens to be smart, eloquent, funny and sucessful. But to you she´s a negatively sterotyped feminist because she doesn´t look like a beach bunny that you probably think all women should look like. But it´s ok, because you apologized.

And how would you feel if I said that my perception of Turks is sleezy horny pervs with greasy hair. And oh by the way, apologies to all the Turkish males here, it´s just my perception, I know it´s wrong, bla bla bla. Now let´s see if some sleezy perv is going to get angry. You crazy?

P.S. The above is to illustrate a point, just in case some brilliant Turkish students will miss it and take it literally to be my opinion.

It will be better if you dont throw dirt to me according to your perception, and its better if you dont blame me about the words i did not say, anyways. So you think you are mind-reading then go ahead with your hate. Im not awed to apologize again if i broke someone´s heart about this issue. My apologies to you as well if you are offended that much...

If you didn´t feel negatively about feminism then why did you feel the need to apologize for calling somebody a feminist? Or if you know a comment is going to be offensive, why did you have to make it to begin with? Obviously you didn´t care and your apology is meaningless.

Either way, I´m not going to argue with you about it. And trust me, I don´t care enough about what you think about feminists or feminism to "hate". I just resent such chauvinistic attitudes from a male and I see no reason why I shouldn´t mention that. Or would you prefer me to shut up and cook you a nice dinner? I´ll make sure I look extra nice doing that.

I apologized because i stereotyped the looks of feminists(not because of feeling negatively about feminism) by resembling presenter to the feminists such as i can portray rock-singer according to their looks. I guess you did not read carefully. And now i know how you portrayed some women btw. Of course you did not care what i thought about feminism, because it seems you already know what i think by mind-reading. As for my apology, if you think it is not sincere, your choice, no problem for me. I put question mark there not to offend you, thats because i do not know if you are feminist or not. And lastly dinner from you?? bir kaþýk suda boðarsýn beni (fast)

Although I am a declared feminist myself, I too see a stern lady with short hair & glasses when I think about feminists. It is a stereotype - true but it´s pretty hard to get rid of them. of course I know not all feminists look this way, but that´s just the first thing that comes to my mind, so I can understand Armegon´s question.

Ahhh but that was the whole point , that look is her trademark along with the regular humilation of contestants. Like AE says, she declares her face lift and her regular botox injections without defence (in a mind your own business way!!) She is actually very tiny and petite and not the least bit feminist (looking) but she can put a good fight when people have been trod upon and she is well known for campaigning on peoples consumer rights.
