Jenny, Anatolia is actually the name of the Asian part of Turkey. And yes, it is really a huge place, since its area is 291.884 sq miles, 3 times bigger than UK (93.788 sq miles).
"Anatolia is a geographic region of Western Asia, comprising most of the modern Republic of Turkey. The region is bounded by the Black Sea to the north, the Caucasus to the northeast, the Iranian plateau to the southeast, the Mediterranean Sea to the south and the Aegean Sea to the west."

What was you expecting it to be? A town or something? Perhaps you buy should by yourself a Rough Guide to Turkey as a starting point to learn more about the geography of Turkey.

I understand where anatolia is and things that you can find on the internet, I meant as more of a place, what is it actually like in these area´s? the people, the place as a whole. Not the geography of it.

It is very hard to give a brief description. The south-west coast is very ´touristy´, with lots of English, German and Dutch tourists visiting and some even buying holiday homes. The summer months are especially crowded in the major resort towns. There always seems to be new developments being built. Central Anatolia is varied. Lots of farming areas, mountainous regions, and snow in winter. It has big cities with high-rise apartments like any other major cities. Cappadocia is probably the most famous tourist region in central Anatolia. Further east it is often drier, and the northern Black Sea region is greener and has more Eastern European visitors.
Of course, this my opinion and only a general comment. The Turkish people are generally friendly wherever you go in Turkey.

Thankyou, its just for a better understanding of the area and what type of lifestyle it is there? I am interested in mayb travelling around this area next time i am in turkey

As people have explained to you ´this area´ comprises the Asian part of Turkey. Lifestyle in the tourist resorts is obviously totally different to lifestyle in the south-east and east Lifestyle in the cities is totally different to lifestyle in the villages. You will need quite some time to travel round the whole of Anatolia!
Read some of Trudy´s essays - she has travelled fairly extensively round Turkey
