It´s just my opinion, but I believe that it is more harmful to culture to censor and restrict people´s freedom.  Holding on to old ways of thinking is not holding on to culture....culture should reflect the wants, needs and lifestyles of the people of a given area.  Culture is not static or constant.  It changes with the times.  Obviously, a certain segment of the population in Turkey wants to see lots of kissing!Shy

yes as you said cultures never static, but main ethical rules always, from deep of history till to endAll olds not to bad, even some of em fresh and younger then the many youngs

Well, I think my understanding of what is ethical is very different than anyone elses.  It is shaped by my own personal beliefs and experiences.  Ethics is very subjective and can´t be used as a measure for what people should or should not be watching.

Anyway, MrX, I respect what you are saying....just completely disagree with it.

I agree with Elisabeth here.

I also think what is ethical for me should be more than ethical for others.....Full stop.

sure noone of us never deny about subjectivity of ethical rules, but i think noone of us musn´t deny limits of freedoms to??And yes in private life noone of us don´t have any right about judging another one´s ethical values, but if topic related with social life and related with the all society and if its related with social order and benefits we have to think again and again....
