Could anyone in the group please help me with some information .
I'm trying to find out if there is any law in this country ( Turkey ) govening the amount of rent increase that a landlord can make. Do they have carte blanche to charge what they want ? My landlord has just informed me that he is planning on putting my rent up by 49% when my contract expires at the begining of October. He also wants 2 years in advance. I was expecting the rent to rise but I thought it would be inline with inflation. The most that I seem to be able to find out about this matter is that is covered by Real estate Law 6579. Where can you get a copy of the law or where can I go to see the paper work.
Thanks in advance for any help you might be able to give

Hi,
Try this link, it is an english website devoted to Turkish law, I don't know if you can find what you want but you might get some new links from it. Good luck
