Pfff, not brainiac enough! Most agree that you can only time-travel when back to the time at which time-travel was invented... Like a telephone line, time travel needs two "phones". Just a bit of bad luck, like any big project has. I´ll be waiting for the big boom YEAH, man-made black hole! Woohooo!

...and do physicists really agree there is no paradox if you go back in time and save your grandfather from being hit by a bus? Doesn´t make sense to me...

While it might not create a paradox, it doesn´t change the fact that unlike "time travel" to the future, there´s no known scientific means of time travel to the past. I could say they´re having bad luck because God doesn´t want them to do it and it´d be just as compelling an argument.

@shoroko: umm...there´s lots of known scientific means of travelling to the past.
It just looks near-impossible for humans.
(eg, manipulating macro wormholes etc)

A few particles going around a close timelike curve, however might be possible

SCIENTIFIC means! They are not by anyway a method for "time-travel" if it is still an extremely disputed theory. I think this whole TIME-TRAVEL thing is a lot of hogwash. Though it is amusing looking, rather reading these mere mortals argue amongst themselves about something that lets you do nothing but ´gülümsemek´. Is that "to smile" in Turkish or is it "Kendini gül", smile to yourself?
