This type of singing is not as popular as it once was. Can anyone tell me something about this singer and the movie here?

I love the way she uses her voice.  Her name is Esengül?

Her real name is Esen Ağan. She was a club singer at the time of 70´s when big clubs and mafia were popular in İstanbul. She has also many albums and a movie "Yansın Bu Dünya". I think this is the movie in the clip.  She was singing arabesque songs. She had also realtionship with mafia. And she died in a car accident in İstanbul at the age of 24 but there were rumours that she was killed...

This was yet another duplicate post.  I have no idea why this happens.  If one of the moderators could delete it, it would be nice.

Thank you Armegon,

Interesting story, and a sad one too.  I guess she was a brown haired girl who bleached her hair to be glamerous....she sort of reminds me of the type that Marilyn Monroe was the archetype of.

The tragic Middle Eastern Star who died young. Her story also reminds me a little of Asmahan, who died in a mysterious car crash.

Taht Kurmuşsun Kalbime

Bırakamam seni ben
Yanımdan gidemezsin
Seviyorsan benimle
Oturup içeceksin

Uzaklarda aramam
Çünkü sen içimdesin
Taht kurmuşsun kalbime
En güzel yerimdesin

Her an seni canımda
Ruhumda duyuyorum
Aşkınla sarhoşum ben
Çılgınca seviyorum

Artık anmak istemem
Ayrılığın adını
Seninle alabildim
Mutluluğun tadını

Uzaklarda aramam
Çünkü sen içimdesin
Taht kurmuşsun kalbime
En güzel yerimdesin

Ayrılığın yükünü
Kaldırıp taşıyamam
Dünyaları verseler
Ben sensiz yaşayamam

Wonderful transliteration, Thank you Ikicihan!

It helps to read the words and hear the song.  Do you think you could also do a translation? My turkish is not adequate to understand the entire song.

you have placed a throne in my heart

I cant abandon you

you cant go from my side

if you love you will sit and drink with me

I dont look into the distance

because you are within me

you have set a throne in my heart

you are in my most beautiful place

You are in my life every moment

I sense you in my soul

I am drunk with your love

I love you like crazy

I dont want to mention the name of separation again

I could take receive the sweet taste of happiness with you

I cant carry endure the burden of separation

even if they give the world

I cant live without you

my try but wait for clevers
