Forgive me if I offend.. but monitoring your translation site and indeed being at the end of rather acidic  comments, if you guys don´t want to help or can only be sour why offer the facility in the first place ?

I agree, and it becomes annoying at times.

Topic moved to ´General/Off topic´ because it is not a translation request.

If you want to play a victim feel free but to come here and make an big fuss because some comments rubbed you the wrong way and then for you to blame the site for it is absurd. {#emotions_dlg.wtf}

I repeat what I said before…the facts….

You posted for a translation on a public forum, people commented, you got your panties twisted when I suggested you get private translations if you don’t like having comments made.

It’s that simple. You have gotten your requests translated and now you say you are taking private lessons and having your translations done privately as well…..so really what are you still complaining about?  {#emotions_dlg.suspicious}

Good of you to monitor the site   It isn´t actually a ´translation site´ you know - the translation forum is just a small part of the site - and I would dispute that anyone translating is making ´acidic´ comments.  But unfortunately most of us have become quite cynical about a certain type of translation request - and watched too many ´relationships´ fall apart in front of our eyes.

Oh - and if you want to see some really acidic comments have a check through some of the other forums!

First of all... wasn´t it just ONE comment that sparked this? So why say "you guys"... the majority of "you guys"  are people who are trying to help eachother, to understand the Turkish language and culture better. One person got fed up with the painfully sweet words that some guys use, and couldn´t help but vent this frustration. It happens Once you hear my sweet, my love, my sunshine, my moon to my night, and words like this a lot, it tends to hurt your teeth after a while. Comments like this can happen on a public forum. You ignore them if you don´t like it. You´re getting a free translation, woohoo
