Here is the invitation text I received for the 3rd Chicago Turkish Festival:

----------

The 3rd Chicago Turkish Festival will be held at the Daley Plaza from September 14 to September 17, 2005.

The opening ceremony will be at 11:30 on September 14th, Wednesday at the Daley Plaza.

The goal of the Festival is to bring Turkey to Chicago especially for those who have not visited our vibrant country.

During the festival days, there will be booths at Daley Plaza, displaying Turkish arts and crafts such as carpet weaving, calligraphy, marbling, shadow theater and photography.

This year’s festival will focus on Turkish cuisine – recognized as one of three best cuisines in the world. Visitors can sample Turkish delicacies such as baklava, Maras ice cream, Turkish coffee, Turkish delights, hazelnuts, apricots and figs.

We invite you to attend the festival and enjoy Turkish culture.
