I´m having trouble understanding this. I thought ´başına´ means ´for each´. Where does the "wish the same" come from?

Kişi başına means " for each" 

Literally it means "to the head of one person"

It is like a head count

Dostlar başına means "to the head of friends"

It is a wish. It means "May it come to their heads too."

It is wishing the same thing for them.
