Nudist tourists will be able to work on their full-body tan on the sun-kissed Turkish coast from next week, when the mainly Muslim country opens its first naturist hotel, a report said Sunday. Open exclusively to foreigners, the beachfront nudist-only hotel opens on May 1 near the major southwestern resort of Marmaris, a small revolution in Turkey´s conservative society, Milliyet newspaper reported. "Nudism is allowed inside the hotel premises, but not on the nearby public beaches," Ahmet Cosar, bookings manager at the Adaburnu-Golmar hotel, told the newspaper. For guests who are determined to shun bathing suits, the hotel will provide a shuttle bus to and from a private naturist beach.

 hehe could do I´m up for each to their own and all that, but I like to keep a bit of myself as a surprise.

Not sure I get why it has a need to be there though if it is only for tourists. If people travel all the way there to just stay in the hotel seems a bit of a waste. opp I forgot they can get the bus to the nudist beach

Only in Turkey can you get nude beaches and very conservative Islamic dress code style beaches!  {#emotions_dlg.lol_fast}

Can someone explain to me what´s the point behind nudist beaches? I can only see this as sick men trying to get women naked, please tell me that I´m wrong!

 I wish I could tell you differently, but I think you have to be a nudist/naturalist to understand that it isn´t about sex.  I myself can only think of it as a bunch of sex crazed people, orgies and drunken madness.  But I am a Catholic...we think you´re a sex crazed maniac looking for a drunken orgie if you are wearing a short skirt!{#emotions_dlg.lol_fast}

Once you´ve seen an 80 year old nudist playing beach voleyball you know it´s not about sex {#emotions_dlg.puking}

I think it has something to do with the feeling of freedom, and being natural. I feel more comfortable in jeans though.

Hmmmm... interesting.. {#emotions_dlg.noway} I wonder how they check for naturalists at the entrance..

Interesting how Catholics don´t have much faith in other Catholics..

I´m absolutely not a nudist (believe it or not, but I´m much too shy for thát!) but I have to admit that I stayed a few times in a hotel of which the swimming pool in the evening only was for people without bathing suits. And indeed, it felt free!

 The entrance of the church?  Usually the naked ones are the naturalists{#emotions_dlg.razz}

I think it is equally interesting that a feminist thinks just because people are naked it is because of all the perverted men.  {#emotions_dlg.shy}

What are they talking about??  {#emotions_dlg.you_crazy}

I´ve seen lots of nude sunbathers at different resorts in the south.  Strangely enough, yes, come to think of it, MOST of them were European ...

Is it just that it´s a nudist ONLY resort??

I don´t go to the beach that often in Turkey, but last year I was there with my sister in law. She´s normally covered, so now she went in the sea with a t-shirt on and long pants. Next to us was a woman topless, she was Turkish. This was the first time I saw a topless woman in Turkey! Later, another topless woman came out of the sea, right in front of my nephew... you should have seen his eyes, they became big like the moon But full nudity, I´ve never seen it. Also not in Holland because I don´t go to the places where this is allowed.

And after only one week the hotel is closed. The local government says that building permits are not ok.
