It is said we should learn something new EVERY day . What is the most important thing you learnt today?
I have 3:-
(1) Lemmings DONT jump off of cliffs.
(2) The great wall of China CANNOT be seen from space.
(3) There is no point having a fast car, because you will ALWAYS get stuck behind an old man with a dog, in a Nissan Micra, doing 10mph when you are late for work

I learned that...
Cervantes joined the war "İnebahtı" against the Ottoman State. Then he was taken as a captive. He had stayed in Ottoman State for 5 years, and by the way, he lost one of his arm... So some Spanish people asks Turks: what did you do to Cervantes?...

I've been studying all day long (almost then), so I learnt many new things. Most of them are grammar rules of Homeric Greek though And it's not nice because the ancient Greek in which Homer wrote his amazing epics The Ilias and the Odysseia, are written in an epical art-language to make it fit in the dactylic hexameter in which it was written.
The only thing we know for sure about Homer, is his name. Apart from that, nothing is really sure and professors aren't even sure whether he wrote the Odysseia and the Illias, or that it a mixture of several poets.
The 'Analysists' are the ones who try to figure which was the original version and who wrote wat. The 'Unitariers' think it was written by one person, Homer. I agree with them because i think the structure in both books is so strong and so talented, this must come from one men.
This is what i learnt today and i hope it was a nice lesson for you too
