Police say 12 people have been killed in a series of shootings in Cumbria. Eleven more have been injured.

The body of the suspected gunman, 52-year-old Derrick Bird, was found in woodland after a manhunt. He is believed to have killed himself.

Yes, this is 24hrs headline news in UK and perhaps in the world.

Yes, people put their hopes / trusts in civilizations, better laws, science, humanism or religions. People believe that they are good, thus becoming their own gods.

 Can´t you just say something like  "what a tragedy, I feel sorry for the people who have to miss their friends and family because of this"?

I cant say this simply like this anymore. What will that help? What will that change?

All of you turned away from God that is why you suffer and will continue to suffer.

This is terrible! A cold-blooded murder...nothng is going to force me to believe that people should get the right to bear arms. Why would anybody need a gun? Just to make a mess when they go crazy apparently...

Since when are you the judge of who has or has not turned away form God? Are you God him/herself? Otherwise I would not see how you are able to judge anybody, ESPECIALLY in a threat about the horrible loss of other human beings. Get off your high horse and take a chill pill.

About the news, I have not been able to follow it that well, since it wasn´t on the Dutch news. But do I understand from the remarks here, that the guy who shot those people had a gun-license?

Isn´t Texas one of those gun-lovers states? {#emotions_dlg.whistle}

Situations like this are horrible and I don´t see in what way we can prevent it to happen (for certain NOT by becoming all religious and praying 24/7). My condolences for all who are affected by this.

I am of course no judge but I have eyes and ears. You and the whole world has turned away from God.

This thread was started by Janissary not to share his condolences but to mock you "good" and civilized westerners.

I dont ride the high horse. Its you Barba who is a good doer and think so high of yourself.
