From when? Can I go at 110 without hitting the radar this weekend?

I believe you can. But I have not personally tested it yet.

I sometimes travel in TEM highway both between İstanbul - Edirne and İstanbul - Ankara but never seen anyone traveling under 130 kms. Because people think radars are located only in double roads. This is because of drivers are very rarely fined when they exceed the speed limit.

Jeth: you must be joking! On the Istanbul-Bursa route and Istanbul-Tekirdağ routes that I drive regularly, there are set points where the police have radar. Most of us do a steady 100km as they pull you over for amounts over that. You then go past the pull over point and see at least 4 or 5 drivers caught every time.

Also on the spur road up to the 1st bridge from the TEM (Ataşehir and Ümraniye) going towards Altunizade the speed limit drops gradually from 120km to 90km, and at the point where it is first 90 there is a bridge. Regularly they sit there and trap everyone still doing 100 or more: you go round the corner and join the 1st bridge road and they pull people over. I reckon they make over 20,000 TL per hour in fines ....
