???

it should have continued I guess?

and "bir şey" is written separately, and I guess a Turkish teacher should be more careful about that

İki parmağının ucunu iki gözüne koy...

Birşey görebilir misin dünyadan?

Görememek ayıbı, gösterememek kusuru

Uğursuz nefsin parmağına ait işte...

Parmağını gözünden kaldır önce,

Sonra dilediğini böyle...

İNSAN GÖZDEN İBARETTİR, aslında

Geri kalan cesettir.

Göz ise, ancak sevgiliyi görene denir.

                                      Mevlana Celaleddin Rumi (1207-1273)

Put the tips of two of your fingers in your eyes...

Can you see anything from the world?

Your senses are unable to see imperfection,

unable to attest blame

in this way,

before you remove your fingers from your eyes

see you wish like this

People consist of sight, actually the rest is a corpse

Only thoose seeing a lover have true sight.

I am a new here and this is my first post!{#emotions_dlg.bigsmile}  It would be nice to start with Rumi.

I will wait  your comments about the poetry.

Best wishes

Perhaps Türkçeci put the tips of two of her fingers in her eyes...

and so,

Her senses were unable to see imperfection.

Just a simple typo .  It can happen to anyone.

Welcome Türkçeci.  I hope you enjoy your time here and make new friends.

Thank you for the Rumi lines.  I remember going to see an exhibition about him (in 2007), held in the Hagia Sophia, İstanbul.  It was very interesting and so many interesting quotes from his work formed the basis of much of the display.  It made me want to read more about him.
