I´m checking some last-minute holidays for a fun holiday with my friends. I have avoided the town of Alanya for many years now, even though it is the absolutely cheapest place to visit from Holland. I´ve been there for half a day, and ran away again after seeing a Dutch chips shop.

But...some financial limits on my friend´s side has made me reconsider Alanya. Does anybody have experiences with a holiday there? If so, how would you describe Alanya? What does it have to offer? I´m about to write the town off, without ever actually having spend a few days there

Never realized you had chip shops in Holland.  

If I say "friettent" or "patatzaak" most people on here don´t know what I´m talking about So I´m going all English on you and keep it at chips shop...
