So I have heard the following sentence several times, even from educated people: You know how foreign girls usually are...

When I ask why they think so, I usually get these answers

1. I saw that on TV / internet

2. You know, they sunbathe topless!

3. They flirt with everyone

4. I saw them in Bodrum / Antalya etc

Is there anything else you´d like to add? I am curious about the reasoning behind this "belief".

Remembering my younger days, I would say, it is just a myth that foreign girls are easy to get. In fact, they are as aloof as domestic girls. Many generalizations can be made about how they prefer strong, rich and charismatic men and how they look down on others but I would just stand with my initial verdict, women are almost the same everywhere and I don´t like how they are raised in their families. True there are many women who are special but the number is nowhere enough. 

In fact, I have run into very few ideal women in this life and one of them happens to be my wife now.

It depends on what you mean by "get." If you mean "to have sex with" then I suppose it might be easy when they come to Turkey on holiday and are just looking to have fun. Then it actually depends on the girl, but yeah, generally western girls do have sex just for fun and it´s not a big deal (for some, for others it´s not like this). Still, not all Turkish girls are virgins, are they? You know it´s easier to go all the way when you´re far from home, without thinking of your whole environment knowing about your moments of fun in the sun

If you mean "get" as in "keep" then it´s a tricky one. I suppose it´s a hard decision a western girl has to make when it comes to dating a person from a different cultural circle. Again, it all depends on the two people, some Turks are more "western" than westerners themselves.

Anyway, to answer your question: yes and no and it depends

Perhaps there are some foreign girls that are easy to get, but nothing is more easy to get than a Turkish guy in a touristic resort. You just need to buy a drink at his bar, and you don´t even have to look somewhat pretty!

By the way, when I was younger I had a Turkish summer romance. I was a virgin and the guy was constantly trying to get in my pants, cause for Muslims "virginity isn´t a big deal right?" After making clear that I wasn´t going beyond some heavy kissing, he thought that I must be the only Western girl that was still a virgin after the age of 12 or something... We broke up rather fast, since he cheated on me. He thought that was okay, since I was probably cheating on him as well. Since, as his friends told him, all Western girls are sex crazy and cheat. Yeah right...

The problem is not foreign girls but Turkish friends who fill the boys´ heads with crazy ideas. Perhaps it´s also not the best thing to judge all foreign people by the lonely women who go to bars to pick up young men and drink until they black out.

PS: I have never sunbathed topless and I´m horrible at flirting. In Turkey you don´t have to flirt at all as a woman in a touristic place anyway. You just need a wallet and the dudus come running.

 This made me laugh...I think it´s just a double standard.  People would like to say Western girls are easy and not look at how easy some Turkish guys are.  When a female chooses to have sex she is easy...but it is perfectly fine for the man because it is his right to do as he pleases with his body.
