Seni işe bırakmamı ister misin ? ---> Do you want me to give you a lift to the work ?

Sabahları seni evden alıyor ----> He/She picks you up from home in the mornings.

Havaalanından seni kim alacak? ----> Who will pick you up at the airport ?

Çekinme ----> Feel free.

Soru sormaktan çekinme, rahat ol ----> Feel free to ask question.

Akılda tutmak = keep in mind, bare in mind

Göz önünde bulundurmak = to bare in mind.

Akılda tutulması gereken tavsiyeler [tüyolar] --->  important tips to bare in mind.

Elinden her iş gelmek = [saying] that means " A person who can turn his hands to many things. [ Jack of all trades ] , A person who is skillful in many jobs.

O adamın elinden her iş gelir. ---> That man is good in any job.

Sözünü tutmalısın ---> You should keep your promise.

Sözünü yerine getirmelisin ---> You should fulfill your promise.

Bana söz  ver !  ---> promise me !

Bana söz ver oraya gitmeyeceksin ---> Promise me you wont go there.

 

Devam et ---> Go ahead., continue., carry on., go on., attend [ regularly ], last

Yürümeye devam et ---> Carry on walking., keep walking.

Fransızca kursuna devam ediyorum ---> I attend French course regularly.

Kafayı duvarlara vurmak = [slang saying] [Literally " to bash the head to the walls ] that means "to be regretful for missing the chance . to regret greatly for things you should have done but you havent .

Universiteye gitmediğin için ilerde kafanı duvarlara vuracaksın ---> You will regret alot in the future for you didnt go to the university.

Ona evlenme teklifi yapmadığım için şimdi kafamı duvarlara vuruyorum ---> I am greatly regretful now  because I didnt propose her to marry me.

Zeytin dalı uzatmak --->[saying] [literally to extend an olive branch ] that means to " to offer to end a dispute and be friendly; to offer reconciliation ".

Bana zeytin dalı uzattı ---> She held out the olive branch to me. [ She offered to end the dispute and be friendly with me ]

Kavgadan sonra ona zeytin dalı uzattım.---> I did hold out the olive branch to her after the argument.

the verb "halletmek " also means " to solve", " to sort out "

Bu işi ancak sen halledersin ----> Only you can sort this out.

Bu problemi ancak sen halledersin ---> Only you can solve this problem.

Merak etme, halledeceğim ----> Dont worry I am gonna sort it out.

Okeylemek ---> [slang] to approve something.

Ailelerimiz evliliğimizi okeylemiyor ---> Our families dont approve our marriage.

Okeyini almak ---> [slang] " to get [someone´s] approval.

Evlilik için babanın okeyini almalısın ----> You need to get your father´s approval for the marriage.

Şansını zorlama ----> Don´t push your luck.

Onu kafandan sil ----> Erase it from your mind.

Söylemesi kolay [demesi kolay] -----> Easier said than done. [term used when something seems like a good idea but it is or would be difficult to do]

İyi bir iş bul demesi kolay ---> Find a good  job is easier said than done.

Ona bel bağlama ---> Don´t depend on it.

Bankadaki parana bel bağlama ---> Don´t depend on your money in the bank.

Ona bel bağlama, seni yarı yolda bırakabilir --> Dont trust him, he might let you down.
