I'm sitting here with some travelbooks as a touroperator, making a list for my family of appartments that are suitable for our holiday (mum, dad, little sis, me and perhaps Kadir). We will probably go to Foça or Çeşme.

1). What are the characteristics of both places and what's the difference between Foça and Çeşme?

2). Which interesting things for sightseeing are within reach of Izmir? Such as Efes etc?

3). Is Pamukkale within reach to drive in one day, stay one night and drive back to Izmir?

4). On a map I saw something near Milet/Priene/Didim and it looked like something ancient and big?? But i can't read the name as its not so clear. What is it?

5). Where can i find a list or ancient things like temples and archeological sites? (or maybe anyone knows a few in the area . Even if you think it might not be worth visiting, believe me, i'm fascinated even by 3 stones if it has a nice story Please just let me know everything so that i can judge for myself.

I hoep someone can answer these questions. Thank you very much,

Tour operator DKTC

No.4 was probably the Temple of Apollo at Didim.

THANKS I can't help, but everything from greek history is like a 'must see' for me. I'm so fascinated by their temples and everything

I think we need our friend Kadir_37 for this question. he will have a customised travel brochure put together in no time.

I can see we will all be taking this trip with you kızım. Well 'virtually' anyway.

I believe you can watch television in other cities too though. And if you have a good satelite you can watch it in West-Europe too

Can somebody answer my questions in the first post of this thread that haven't been answered so far? And can someone tell me other 'must-sees' in the area of Izmir that are possible to visit?

Thank you in advance.
