Sanırım, umarım ....

Uzun zamandır aradığı eteği, bulabileceği olan bir mağaza biliyorum.

Tunci, does the sentence need ´olan´ to be grammatically correct, or would it be understood or better without it?

Complex sentences are where learners struggle, but we hopefully also learn when we get a corrected answer.

Without the ´future tense´ clue from Tunci, I would not have got as close with my attempt. Smile

Yes, you got it..

" Onun uzun zamandır aradığı eteği bulabileceği bir mağaza biliyorum "

therefore this baklava goes to you all [to Henry,Yasemin,Deli,Elena,Hindistan and Abla]

Note : Henry, "olan" can not be used in that case. Unless the sentence was ;

"Onun uzun zamandır aradığı eteği bulabilecek olan birisini tanıyorum."

then it is acceptable to use "olan" [that] in the case above.

" I know someone who [olan] can find the skirt which she has been looking for a long time"

additional explanation ;

" Onun uzun zamandır aradığı eteği bulabileceği bir mağaza biliyorum ."

O [she] + n [buffer n] + un [genitive]  ---> Onun

uzun [long] + zaman [time] + dır [for] --> Uzun zamandır

ara [stem of the verb "aramak" ] + dık [object participle, "k" changes into "ğ"] + ı [possesive 3] --> aradigi

etek [skirt,"k"changes into "ğ"] + i [accusative] ---> eteği

bul [ Verb stem] + abil [able] + ecek [future tense ,"k" changes into "g"] +i [possesive 3]

bir [a] mağaza [store] ---> bir mağaza

bil [verb stem] + iyor [progressive tense] + um [person "I"] -->biliyorum

 Good try Hindistan, but you need "future tense" somewhere in the sentence.

Denemeye devam. !

Damn it!!! I missed that...ecek and the baklava both {#emotions_dlg.razz}

Hindistan, you may have missed the future tense but you certainly didn´t miss the Baklava. Your name is on the winner´s list!! Congratulations! {#emotions_dlg.yes}
