I thought in neither of us the choice is from two, none of us is from a larger group. But I don´t know any better than you, tunci.

deli?

You are right Abla, when I reviewed it, I noticed it.. {#emotions_dlg.head_bang} I mixed neither with nor..

"Neither do I " Form

I don´t watch tv ---> Ben televizyon izlemem.

neither do I ---> ben de [izlemem].

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

I am not a student ---> Ben öğrenci değilim.

neither am I ---> ben de [değilim].

"Either  or "  form

Either you or me will suffer from this ---> Ya sen ya da ben bundan muzdarip olacağız.

-----------------------------------------

Either Ali or you or I must attend the meeting ---> Ya Ali ya sen ya da ben toplantıya katılmalıyız.

-----------------------------------------

So the formula is ;

Ya [could be more than one due to number of pronoun] + ya da

"Ya da " comes just before the last pronoun.

I thought in neither of us the choice is from two...

Here is a few examples:

her iki beyanat da doğru değil - neither statement is true

her ikisi de tatminkâr değil - neither one is satisfactory

her ikisinden de hoşlanmadım - I like neither of them

her iki durumda da mutabık olamam - I can agree in neither case

Grammar books don´t mention numerals can be changed into pronouns by adding the possessive suffix and then other stuff. But so it seems to me.

Stop torturing your old and tired grammar books.. leave ´em alone

Numerals suffixed by 3rd person possessive change into pronouns

a) subject:

Üçü yattı

İkisi gecikti

Beşi haftaya gelecek

Dördü de çalışıyor

b) object (+ accusative -(n)i )

Üçünü yatırdı

İkisini bıraktım

Birini beğendim
