Clue ;

Predicate provides information about the subject, like what the subject is doing or what the subject is like.

Ali elma yedi. --> Ali ate an apple.

"yedi" is the predicate since it tells about what Ali [subject] is doing.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ali iyi bir adamdır. --> Ali is a good man.

"adamdır" is the predicate as it tells about what Ali [subject] is like.

Yes, we can not replace "ile" with "ve" here as it says ;

"fare ile " = with mouse

He/she had played [with someone] just like a cat plays with a mouse.
