why do..

sorry if this is a stupid question but why do turkish ppl say hadi bye on the phone, i thought hadi means come on? and also he says yaa after everything lol is it just me or is it some language thing?

Hope this little explanation will help you

Hadi means come on yes,but it depends on situation...

On the phone,hadi bye mean "thats all for now"

Hadi ya means "astonishing"

Hadi gidelim means "come on lets go"

E hadi means "showing bored

Hadi ama shows a ur "offended" to ur friend

Hadiii shows "unpatient"

u can use lots kind

hadi görüşÃ¼rüz, hadi hoşÃ§akal, hadi öptüm, hadi sana iyi günler

Hahaha, the 'Ya' thing is very funny, my sisters husband says this all the time like "I'm hungry ya" or "Lovely ya". I think its funny and assume it doesn't mean much. I have a habit of ending everything I say with "eh" so its prob the same thing!

lol i do it all the time too, i say right at the end of everything, but it jus makes me laugh wen they say it, and i have started doing it myself which i am getin strange looks for!

i would like to see more of these 'everyday' sort of expressions. I think when we learn turkish we learn the very formal way, but those everyday expressions are so important also. Maybe even a little slang would also be good.

yes hadi mean let's but it also could mean hurry in some sentences for example hasi isimiz var
