I suspect "fırın" is a Turkish word in Serbian language. It can be found in many languages:

furnos in Middle Greek

furnus in Latin

fournaise in French

etc.

Some smilarities between Japanese and Turkish

Although it is arguable that Japanese is an Altaic language like Turkish, we see smilarities between two languages in syntax and other issues.

Such as ;

- Japanese is SOV [Subject + Object + Verb]  strict rule of word order is that the verb must be placed at the end of a sentence.

- Japanese is agglutinative language like Turkish.

- Japanese dative case is "e" = In Turkish "e,a"

In Japanese              In Turkish

Ankara e itta          Ankara´ya gitti.

Kyotono                    Kyotonun  [Kyoto´s]

 ii                             iyi

sore de                     sonra da

takushii de                 takside

gi                             giy

kuray                        kara

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Again, it is arguable that Japanese can be classified as Altaic Language but its smilarities to Altaic languages is  just fascinating.

Very old kinship is very hard to prove. If there was common vocabulary it should be something reflecting a hunter-gatherer culture. Words like fish, root, head, dog, trap, maybe some pronouns.

The similarities in structure are fascinating, though. On the other hand, if there are three pawns like S, O and V in your game two players probably place them in the same order no matter if they have a connection or not.

So much that, Turks are very fast in learning Japanese. For example:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t3nED75AvBc

Watch Barış talking Japanese on the stage after studying it (Japanese) for only 1 week or so.

On the other hand; as an example, Turkish and Japanese word order can be very similar to each other. Also the use of suffixes that don´t affect the word stem is a feature in both languages.

E.g. The man who stands there is my teacher
Asoko ni tatta hito wa watashi no sensei desu:
That-place in standing man (nominative marker) me-of teacher is (the of is of course the genitive particle)
Now in Turkish
Orada duran adam (benim) Ögretmenimdir
That-place-in standing man (me-of) teacher-my-is

Yes, this is notable. I found it hard to believe in the beginning.

In Baltic languages we agglutinate also but many changes take place in the stems and on the borderlines of suffixes. Especially in Estonian language and South-West Finland dialects.
