Did you arrive (reach) izmir?

"Have you arrived at İzmir (yet)? "    would be even better!

Did you arrive at İzmir? is really only part of a sentence that needs completing, such as: Did you arrive at İzmir before nightfall? Did you arrive at İzmir on a one-horse open-sleigh? etc.
