translation correct but it doesnt make any sense.
i didnt understand whether he/she is beautiful or not. incorrect sentence.

She is beautiful but the speaker calls her ugly in order to protect her from the evil eye. Some ignorant people use this method to keep the child safe from envy.

You obviously missed the evil eye on barba´s favorite 2012 Olimpic symbol.

Evil eye is known in all cultures, not only those which we think are backward. Envy is typical to human mind and its corruptive power is well known. It is one of the basic motifs of folk poetry.

İn Turkish culture, blue eyes are suspected to contain evil radiations.

What color are evil eyes in Scandinavian culture ?  Black? Brown?
