I am not sure if the picture below will appear.

If it does, it may suggest you a peaceful way of supporting those ransomed in Gazza and protesting the Israeli barricade on this beat up city - at least until things improve to acceptable standards.

funny story.....

in malaysia people decided to boycott McDonalds because it is a jewish company...

so ever since the boycott is made famous through facebook, instagram etc, McDonalds, worried they may lose their customers, gave free McMuffins in the morning, and subsequently offered 100,000 burgers for free....

and what did the malaysians do? queue up at mcdonalds so not to miss the chance of getting free burgers!!

it think it was kind of funny, but also, sadly shows that humans have no willpower when it comes to boycott...

It is easier to boycott yourself than all those companies. Don´t you know there are many multi-national companies? How will you know if they have Israeli partners? But at least you can boycott Coca-Cola symbolically.

This shows that a boycott can only be effective if it is your government that does it. But this is not easy too.

... McDonalds because it is a jewish company ...

Funny, I though that McDonalds was an American company founded by 2 bothers of Scottish/Irish descent.  Never would have guessed that Richard and Maurice McDonald were Jewish.

Here is something I found concerning the 729 barecode from crockwatch:

http://crocwatch.wordpress.com/2009/01/20/boycott-israel-about-barcode-numbers-beginning-with-729/

Boycott Israel: Israeli products do not necessarily use barcode beginning with 729

Calling everyone who has joined, or is joining the Boycott Israel movement:

The Global BDS (Boycott, Divest, Sanction Israel) website suggests that we should ‘Pressurise supermarkets and shops into removing goods with barcode 729 – denoting Israeli origin – from their shelves.’

This brief post is to say that the suggested number may be valid in some contexts, but not in all. Today Crocwatch visited a Marks and Spencer’s store in the UK—this chain has a history of supporting Israel—and found that a bag of assorted peppers from Israel did NOT have a barcode beginning with 729. So either the 729 number is not universally employed, or perhaps Marks and Spencer’s is deliberately changing it to beat the boycott (?).

Presumably, this would be easy enough to do anywhere else. So Crocwatch recommends that you not go by the barcode number, or that you check both the number and the country of origin, where listed. If in doubt, try to buy products that are clearly labeled. This is, in any case, good shopping practice!

yeah, it is possible the propaganda made some people (in this case some people in certain countries) believe thats its jewish. so u may be right. however, mcD is junk food and bad for your health, full of preservatives etc that people should just boycott it for that reason...
