I am looking for a recipe for soup.

It has wat looks like rice but it is not I think it is their type of pasta with what looks like minced meat chicken or lamb.  Made mainly with water and tomato puree.  My husband says it is called Corba but I think this means soup.

Thanks

Cheryl

You are correct, çorba means soup.

Binnur´s Turkish Cookbook has several soup recipes, just click on the name below

Tomato soup with rice

Tomato soup with Orzo (I think this is the one you want, Orzo is a rice shaped pasta called risoni)

Tomato & Chicken soup with vermicelli

You could probably substitute the type of pasta to suit your (or your husband´s) preference.

Is this what you drank? If so, it is Şehriye Çorbası.
