Sizce bu görüse sahip olmayan insanlar da fikirlerini anlatmiyorlar mi? Sizce o insanlar da yine sizin ve o ´muhterem zevatin´ katkilarinin da bulundugu devletin parasini kullanmiyorlar mi? Ben okul hayatimda bir fikir veya görüsü olmayan bir ögretmen görmedim. Her insanin vardir. Sizin de var. Benim de var.

Tek tarafli cikarimlar yapiyorsunuz bence.

Please keep in mind the following Turkish Language Class rule:

3. The official language of all forums is English with the following exceptions and details: 3.1. The language ´Teaching Turkish´ forum is Turkish only.

If you are going to post a long article in Turkish, you do not have to post a word for word translation.  A brief synopsis would be fine.  For those of us who are not native Turkish speakers, it is very hard to participate in these forum discussions otherwise.

Thank you very much!

Elisabeth

Elisabeth,

Next time I receive a highbrow and  warning comment like this....I will stop writing to this site altogether. Or you can kick me out yourself and save me the trouble.

Perhaps it is time you change your divine rules and give some peace to poor Turks who ocassionally want to discuss sometng in Turkish and between Turkish speakers only.

Call it an enticement for learners. The quicker they perfect their Turkish, the more posts they can read and understand.

These rules where created by the site owners.  I am only reminding you of the rules.  This site was designed with Turkish learners in mind and it is the reason for the sites very existance.  It is very difficult for learners to participate in forums that are all in Turkish.  When you post something that is complicated and all in Turkish you exclude a good number of members from a conversation.  Sorry if you feel insulted but it doesn´t change the fact that the rules where created to enhance communication between people not excude them.

i know some turkish discussion forums for general purpose.
some of them have more than 1 million members.
some of them have special purpose like movies, literature, religion, computer, game, sports...

some google search enough to find them...

i think this forum has a special subject, too: turkish language and related areas for non-turkish. of course we can discuss different things but in the right place in the right form. rules invented to protect this special subject.

Completely agree with you and also with the admin here. In my view, only nevbahar should be allowed to post in Turkish!

This site should be more than a translation desk for silly love letters, written in very low quality Turkish. Or is that what you think this site is for ?

Learners should also be given a chance to see occassional texts in pure and relatively correct Turkish texts for their reading pleasure or practice.

What would be unacceptable is to refuse replying decent queries from learners, at points where they try but can not understand parts of such Turkish discussions.

My request for a change of rules stands as I detailed previosly, by site owners or whoever has the authority !

{#emotions_dlg.alcoholics}

I shall come back to check if I am already kicked out, tomorrow ....
