It´s not about who is right or wrong. Both are illusions anyway.

Robert, what about this sentence = > Dağdakilerse aşağıya indirilmeyi beklemekteydi."
How would you say it in English ?

Robert , No one is perfect. The perfectionistic approach while you are teaching might put the learners off as when you correct even the tinniest errors of poor learners [ who are already having enough trouble with Turkish grammar] related to English grammar, might make them feel uncomfortable and afraid to answer your questions thinking that they are gonna be told off because of their mistakes in English.
Sorry, this is my observation. I believe that you have very good intentions. But they need their Turkish Perfect not their English.

We need to wait for a native speaker to drop by so that we can indulge ourselves in the illusion that "natives" will save the day because we believe that "native" is always better, even perfect .
Ok, just don´t forget that without native Turks this site would be dead in two days.

Lets kill natives and learn by ourselves. Their English makes me sick. Our Turkish is way better
