One more attempt: I am 43 years old. If I would be capable of doing what you just suggested, I wouldn´t be autistic. Trust me. This is why people get diagnosed with autism to start with. Believe me. It is not an excuse, nor a choice, it is REAL.
What is "good" anyway? I like hot, spicy food. For me, that is good, for you it might be horrible. The same food, yet two very different perceptions. That is the problem with non-autistic people: the definition of concepts changes constantly, depending on the context. In mathematics, however: 1 + 1 = 2. Always!
You only need to deal with autistic people in 1% of all cases. I need to deal with neurotypical people in 99% of all encounters.
