i think two of them is true. but there is a little difference in meaning.

if you use -m oldu   , there is possibility the stuation go on.

for example

Benim bir arabam oldu. ( it means you bought the car in the past and you have it now. and it means you dont have it too. )

Benim bir arabam vardı. ( it means you bought a car but you dont have it anymore.)

as we see in examples 1. sentence has two meaning and the 2. one has one.

 in addition

in the first sentence,  I can say that  the first meaning is stronger.

A question please, can we write possessive pronuoun with "bir" in the same sentence? and if yes would it differ in the meaning if i didn´t write bir?

Thanks

I think the red text above needs a context for disambiguation.

For example:

Benim bir arabam oldu = (Finally) I have a car now (I have just bought it)

and as you have given:

Benim bir arabam oldu = (There was a time in the past) I had a car

Benim bir arabam oldu =  I bought a car (in the past) and still have it

Also what about "arabam yoktu" and "arabam olmadı"?

This issue could be very confusing for a learner. Basically, what HaNNo and Aida Krishan said is 90 per cent of the truth. In sentences which denote existence or possession, var/yok is used. Think of var as and adjective meaning ´existent´. Bir arabam vardı literally means ´A car of mine was existent´.

If against all odds olmak is used in sentences where you expect var/yok it always expresses a change of state *) **): ´the car came to my possession, the situation changed´. This in my opinion shows in the translations Teach-er and si++ have given.

*) This applies for non-existential sentences as well: Mutsuzdum ´I was unhappy´, Mutsuz oldum ´I became unhappy´.

**) To be exact, there is another reason also. olmak is used as a hanger

in cases where you have grammatical markers in your hands and you don´t know where to put them. Like the future marker  -  you cannot attach it into an adjective, can you?

Benim de arabam var.

> Benim de arabam olacak.
