In recent weeks I have heard a few stories of the organ mafia operating in Turkey. People, kidnapping unsuspecting people and removing their kidneys for "donating". I have written an article on wether this has any reality or if in fact it is just a myth. You can read my article here.

Hopefully my next article will be on "learn Turkish  - in ten years" which Ipromise to give this excellent web site a mention

It may happen, but I think this is an urban myth that has been going around for years. There are many stories of people waking up in strange hotel rooms and finding a kidney missng and evidence of surgery.

There are many variations of this story...

It´s always the person wakes up in a strange hotel, or some such....

People do sell their organs in Iran, it´s legal in the state, and I´ve heard there are other places where prisoners don´t have a lot of choice. I don´t doubt that cadevers organs are harvested, but from healthy live people whose blood type and all is unknown, I seriously doubt it.

Sell ? Brains like yours are valuable and very hard to find !

You need to pay someone to find it first
