Quoting Efi70

Vona,you spoke logicaly. Many people -not only Turkish ofcourse-are afraid of historic truth and facts. But history cannot change ...we can tell lies to ourselves but deep inside us we all know the events. Even ancient and Byzantium  ruins can talk. As a grand-daughter of Minor Asian Greeks i have heard many stories about that land. I respect Turkish people and i hope to respect me in return..and i really wish both nations forget and forgive each others in order to moove on peacefully. Maybe iam a dreamer...but i really want that day to come...

I share your dreams and think now is a good time to cooperate and be friendlier to each other...

Temel was an "imam" [muslim priest] in a village. It was a Ramadan time. One day it was almost a fast breaking  time. All villagers were waiting Ezan [prayer call] to break their fast.

Temel climbed up to the minaret and started to read " Allahu Ekber ! Allahu Ekber !, when the villagers heard this, they started eating. A short while later they heard Temel´s voice again saying " Allahu Ekber, Allahu Ekber ! Sound Test 1,2,3 Sound test 1,2,3 "

Bence İngilizcede de imam imamdır Belki parantez içinde (the male prayer leader in a mosque) diye bir açıklama yapmak yararlı olabilir.

Temel :  Tell me Idris,  why those guys are running ?

Idris    :  They are running because one of them will come first and win the medal.

Temel :  I see...If so , why the others are running if just  one will get the medal ?

Temel ile dursun futbolcuymuş.

Bir gün sohbet ederken temel sormuş:

- La dursun öbür dünya da futbol varmıdır ?

Dursun:

Temel and Dursun are footballers.

One day while talking , Temel asked Dursun ;

- Dursun, do you think there is football game after this life ?

Dursun replies;

- Buddy, I don´t know it either.  But whoever dies first  will write a letter and inform to other.

Dursun dies and goes to heaven.

Temel receives the letter from Dursun saying ;

-Dear Temel, I have one good and one bad news for you.  The good news is "there is football in here" , the bad news is " You are in first eleven for this week´s match"

Fadime  calls out to Temel ;

- Temel, cut this lamb so that I can cook  nice meals  for us tonight.

- Temel asks ; why ?

- Fadime replies; Because it is the 10th anniversary of our marriage !

Temel comments with an uncaring manner ;

Why the hell the  lamb should pay for my  mistake
