One million people are in newroz meeting in Diyarbakir.

Kurdish MPs are reading the message from Ocalan. To armed guerrillas :" leave your weapons and leave Turkey".  To the people : "A new Turkey, a new Middle east, a new feature. No more weapons".

Good wishes from the head of terrorist. Let´s hope the ones in the mountains will listen to his call. Turkey will be a better place if the peace would be established.

By the way , Nihat was there too..  According to Hurriyet news , Nihat Dogan was there ; Helal olsun adama hiç bir tarihi anı kaçırmıyor. !

There are always some people who dont want peace, people who panic and get worried if the word ´peace´ is mentioned.

I think there used to be alot of these people in Turkey and they thought "not wanting the peace" was "normal".  There are still many out there but their number is less than before.

I think that is the main reason why we  have a  peace prospect after all those years..

Öcalan had committed every crime in the book to qualify him for the death penalty. He had killed, terrorized cities, trafficked narkotics, tortured people ; you name it.

Turkia was hot on his heels. It was becoming incerasingly difficult for Öcalan to get acceptance from any of the possible host countries.

The rumor is that CIA came into the picture, and delivered Öcalan to Turkish side, on one condition only.

THOU SHALT NOT KILL HIM.

Can anyone make an intelligent guess why CIA was so benevolent ?

Generally I have found that US goverments like to stick their noses in everyones business whether they are welcome or not especially in the Middle East.

Turkey has always been a bit strange with these things.

Some people really get worried when they hear the word ´peace´.

And then they start  putting arguments about why we should not make peace or why this peace is not going to work etc. They find it comforting. Because the other option, ´the peace option´ will prove why they have been wrong all this time. They are afraid  becasue everybody will understand that ´their mentality´ kept this war going all those years since the peace is coming by just doing the opposite whatever they said as a solution for the war.

I hope the peace works this time.
