Twin car bombs have killed 40 people and injured 100 in the Turkish town of Reyhanli, near the Syrian border.

Interior Minister Muammer Guler said the bombs had gone off in the town near the town hall and post office.

Video showed injured people being carried to safety amid shattered buildings and twisted wrecks of cars.

No group said they had carried out the attack but a top member of the Turkish government suggested Syrian involvement.

"Our thoughts are that their Mukhabarat [the Syrian intelligence agency] and armed organisations are the usual suspects in planning and the carrying out of such devilish plans," Deputy Prime Minister Bulent Arinc said.

I think, Turkish PM is looking for a reason to attack Syria and I thought this might be the reason he was looking for.  But now some say that it might be a Turkish left wing group (THPC/acilciler ) associated with Syrian intelligence. It would be quite foolish for Syrian to provoke Turkish army to attack.

Being the cause of or victim of such violence is unfathomable to me. How can one be filled with such hatred to do that? And how do the surviving victims and families recover after such a trauma? My heart goes out to those people..

Many conspricy theories going around at the moment. Maybe we will be able to learn soon who did it.. But they are suspecting a left wing group with the help of Syrian intelligence.  The people on the ground think that it is Syrian rebels and unfortunately, that makes Syrian refugees target for the  right wing ´ulusalci´ mob.
