We are spending 3 days in Kadikoy next month. We have stayed on the other side and seen all the main sights. This time we want a relaxing holiday!!

I have read about places to visit as follows

Uskudar

Bagdat caddesi

Fenerbahce Lighthouse garden and park

Guneslibahce sokak.

Can anyone recommend anywhere in particualr to visit and of course any restaurants.

We would like to visit one of the Princess Islands.Buyukada seems to be the most popular. What of the others? Would prefer an island without too many hills as my wife cant walk too far due to arthritis. Though I believe there are horse drawn carriages.

If walking will be problem, the horse drawn carriages in the islad is good idea.

You can see many ottoman´s mosques in Uskudar and Maiden tower also. Maybe you should go to "çiçekçi" in Üsküdar, there is a little park where end of the street. When you arrived to there, you will find hystorical peninsula in front of you. ( i mean, Topkapı Palace, Hagia sofya, Blue mosque) and intersection of Marmara sea and bosporus. If you do this in the afternoon you will see great view. You can find more information about Üsküdar;  http://www.exploreistanbul.com/Category.aspx?ArticleID=104&CategoryID=4

Im sure you will like Üsküdar - Beykoz line also. You can see the bosphorus from different side and angles. Line is long, that´s why you can do that by "dolmuş". And you can drink Turkish coffee at the Mühürdar street on Kadıköy.

Have fun.

My ideas will be:

-Spend a day around Uskudar visiting Valide Sultan mosque (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Atik_Valide_Mosque) , Mihrimah sultan mosque (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mihrimah_Sultan_Mosque_%28%C3%9Csk%C3%BCdar%29) and semsi pasa mosque (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/%C5%9Eemsi_Pasha_Mosque) -a tiny but sweet mosque- (it was mentioned in my column too)  and walk back to Kadikoy. Spend the evening in one of the restaurants in Carsi, -raki and fish- and a good night sleep.

-Second day, take a bus from Uskudar and go to Kanlica to have Turkish coffee or a light lunch there and then go to Camlica for tea. Still have time? go to Moda in Kadikoy.

-Third day , yes I would not mind going to prince islands which is a full day thing.

You can pass to Eyüp from Üsküdar by vessel. In that way you can make" Haliç tour" also.
