Thanks for all your help and advice for our trip which went so well.We saw another part of Istanbul and loved it.I got plenty of turkish practice in though my language is still basic. But as usual the turkish people were so helpful.

Our trip went as follows

DAY ONE Stayed round Kadikoy/Moda.Took tram round area and had lunch at Moda harbour. In the evening we ate at Ciya Sofrasi.Lovely meal.Very busy area with so many people eating out.Wonderful to eat outside at night, not used to this in England.

DAY TWO Went to Uskudar, took ferry to Besitkas(only 3 tl!!) lunch at Dolmabahce palace.Ferry from Kabatas to Kadikoy.Meal in hotel overlooking Bosphorous...wow!!

DAY THREE Went to first of the Princes´s island,Kinlinada(i might have spelt this incorrectly). The smallest island but very pretty. Only 5tl to any island single fare!!even if you go the furthest which is 75 minutes away. In the evening we went to Bistro 33 near Baghdad Caddesi.Excellent meal.A very busy restaurant and maybe advisable to book in advance.

Quite sad to leave as just getting settled in but we will return one day and now looking at other cities to visit.Istanbul, with it´s big population, is very hectic. But the turkish people always have time for you.
