Bizim  dilimizi  anlıyor  musun ? 

 

Do  you  understand  our language ? 

 

 

Sana  ne  ? 

 

It is not your business.

 

[ This is not a very polite expression though] 

 

 

Sizi   ilgilendirmez !

 

None of  your business !

 

 

Sende  kalsın.

 

Keep  it.  [ when we want someone keep something] , keep it .

 

 

Beni  rahat  bırak !

 

Leave  me  alone ! [Don´t  disturb me ] 

 

 

 

Şimdilik  sende  kalsın, sonra senden alırım.

 

Keep it [with you]  I´ll  pick it [from you ] later. 

 

 

Kitabın  kapağını  bile  açmadım.

 

I didn´t  open even the book´s cover. [I didn´t  even looked at the book, I didn´t started to read it ]

 

 

Uykusuz  kaldım.

 

I´ve  had  no  sleep. [ I was unable  to sleep ]

 

 

Sınava  çalışmaktan  uykusuz  kaldım.

 

I was unable to sleep because of studying for the exam.

 

 

Bu sıralar  uykusuzluk  çekiyorum.

 

I  am having  sleeping problem nowadays. [ I am suffering from insomnia nowadays]

Sınavı  verdim.

 

I passed  the exam. [ colloquial]

 

 

Sınavdan  kaldım.

 

I failed  the exam.

 

 

Sınavdan  çaktım. 

 

I  failed  the exam. [slang]

 

 

Sınavda  başarılar  dilerim.

 

I wish you success in the exam.

 

 

Sınavın  nasıl  geçti ?

 

How  did  your exam go ?

it´s incredible, impossible !, unthinkable. hard to believe ! 

 

Bugün şirkete kimse gelmemiş. Olacak iş değil ! 

 

It´s unbelievable that  no one came  to the company today !

 

[it´s hard to believe that……….

[ note : its used for negative contexts]

 

 

 

Bugün  sana  uğrayacağım.

 

I will  pop in  you. [ I will come to see you today [short visit] ]

 

uğramak - visiting someone briefly, short visit

 

 

İki  dakika  uğrayım dedim.

 

I just came to visit [you] for two minutes.

 

 

Gıtmeden  bana  uğra.

 

See  me  before  you go. 

 

See   me  before  you leave.

 

 

Bugün  senin dükkana uğradım. Ama sen yoktun.

 

I  stopped by your shop today. But you were not there.

* This expression is used  when we don´t know what to do and need a serious advice.

 

 

Lotoda  5  tutturdum.

 

I got 5 numbers in Lotary. 

 

 

Lotoda  büyük  ikramiye kazanmış.

 

He won the big  prize.

 

 

İstanbul´a  gideceğim diye  tutturmuş.

 

He/She keeps  saying  insistently that he/she will go to İstanbul.

These are mixed sentences showing order, question , request etc but it is very fruitfull. thank u

I will  pop in  you. [ I will come to see you today [short visit] ]


This statement can be grossly misunderstood."I will pop in to see you" might work.


 


uğramak - visiting someone briefly, short visit.. to stop by
