i thought horo was a turkey bird and it did not make sense

Actually it is not ıyla. Let me explain to you:

merhamet-in maraz-ı-y-la

-in is genetive suffix

-ı is possesive suffix

-y is buffer letter

-la is vasıta (I dont know the proper translation) suffix. It means "with".

We call the hammer of trigger "rooster"

we say cocking the gun which means to prepare the gun for firing  and I guess  rooster and cock are the same meaning in animal life 

and i missed the suffix and y buffer now it make sense
