Merhaba,

how would you translate the word "nervous" into Turkish

in the sense of being stressed before an important event?

for example I´m nervous before my performance or before making an important decision.

This is a known problem in translating, like the word "challenge" or "frustrated".

Turks use "heyecanlıyım", but this can be both excited or nervous, and you can only work out the difference depending on the context.

"stresliyim" may match it, but only if you are so nervous you are really stressed about it. Heyecanlıyım is more like the butterflies in your stomach - stresliyim is you´re pulling your hair out!
