nice to hear that

Merhaba.

If someone says a nice thing to me, I want to reply "nice to hear that"-

I can only think of: Bunu duyduğumdan memnun oldum.

But it´s so inconvenient and quite long- the person is indicated as much as two times:

 Bunu duyduğumdan memnun oldum. - I am glad that I have heard that...

 

Is that possible to use a more general phrase, like: bunu duymak çok güzel or bunu duymaya sevindim, possibly bunu duymadan memnun oldum?

Bunu duyduğuma memnun oldum. (use dative)

Here is my recomendation: "Bunu duymak güzel."

"Bunu duymak güzel."

"Bunu duyduğuma sevindim."

"Güzel"
