I am not sure if i should write my post in Turkish or English. However i am planning to write in Turkish, since my question most likely can be answered by Turkish teachers.

A little bit intro about me. I have graduated from Msc Computer Engineering. During my graduate program, i was dealing with Natural Language Programming. I know both Turkish and English pretty well, however in some cases i need help about translation. Particularly, about "harmonies" - if this is the correct word . 

The story continues in Turkish after;

Benim en büyük sıkıntılarımdan birisi yaptığım çalışmaların birinde türkçe kelimelerin köklerini bulan bir algoritma var. Bu algoritmayı hazırlarken türkçede oluşan ses olaylarınıda dikkate aldım. Fakat algoritmanın açıklamasını yazamıyorum çünkü aşağıdaki terimleri ingilizceye nasıl çevireceğimi bulamadım/bilmiyorum. Bu konuda bana yardımcı olabilirseniz çok sevinirim.

Bu kodda bir kısım. Uyguladığım ses olayları bunlar. Benim ihtiyicım olan şey ise bunların ingilizce karşılığı. Çünkü geliştirdiğim kütüphaneleri yabancı arkadaşlara anlatmada problemler yaşıyorum.

Bunlar kelimelerin köklerinde değişiklik yapan ses olayları, bu sebepten dolayı bunlar için çözüm geliştirdim. Eğer başka ses olayları varsa kelime köklerinde değişiklik yapan, bunlarıda benimle paylaşırsanız sevinirim.

Not: Turk olmaktan bazen utanıyorum. Yaklaşık 12-13 yıldır yurtdışında yaşıyorum, açıkçası türkçe dilbilgisi yazıl kurallarının çoğunu unuttum sayılır. Birde insanların alanları var. Benim türkçe konularına yaklaşımım, bir türkçe öğretmenine göre farklıdır.

Türkçe öğretmeni değilim ama sık sık yabancılara yardım ederim. Ve bu terimleri İngilizce olarak şöyle yazıyorum:

Ünsüz yumuşaması (Softening of consonant)

Pekiştirme sıfatları (Strengthening adjectives)

Diğerlerinde tam emin değilim.

Problem şundan kaynaklanıyor. Şimdi yabancı birisi bana soruyor bu kök bulma algoritması nasıl çalışıyor diye. Yada ben döküman yazmak istiyorum. Adamlara Ünlü Yumuşaması olayını nasıl anlatayım onu bilmiyorum. En azından bana bir cümle ile açıklamasıda gerekecek.

şurda türkçe bişiler yazdımya (anlatım bozuklukları mevcut) mesela bu dökümana benzer bir ingilizce döküman yazmak istiyorum. Bir çok kısmını ben yazabilirim fakat işte bu ses olaylarını anlatamıyorum.

I would contact with one of the Turkish Universities´ English Language Departments.They need to discuss these linguistic formulas with Turkish Departments and come with an "explanation" in English language,which is basically going to be the formula of your code.

Sorry if I am talking like a Rubik´s cube,but it is what it is otherwise anyone could write it right?

I posted original post in turkish, what i need is, there are some changes happening during word formation process in Turkish language. Some of them (that effects the root of the word) are:

1. Ünsüz Yumuşaması:

"kitap" (book) is the original form "kitabım" (my book) as you see p changed to b,

suç cases happen in different words and ç changes to c, t changes to d, k changes to g or ğ so this process is called "Ünsüz yumuşaması" but i dont know english translation of "Ünsüz yumuşaması" and also need one sentences that describes this formation process

2. Ünsüz Yumuşaması

for example "bekle" (to wait) when it gets suffix "-iyor" which makes this verb in present continuous tense it becoms "bekliyor" (waiting) as you see it is not "bekleyor". So this formation is called "Ünsüz yumuşaması" and like before i dont know translation of "Ünsüz yumuşaması" and need a sentence that describes this formation process.

3. Ünlü Düşmesi

In some turkish words vovels may drop. For example, "oğul" (son) gets suffix -im becomes "oğlum" This formation is called "ünlü düşmesi" and again i dont know the translation. "Vowel Dropping" maybe

4. Ünsüz Düşmesi

Türkish words may get some suffixes and consonant at the end may be dropped. For example "küçük" (small) gets -cük suffix and becomes "küçücük". (very small) Last "k" in the original word dropped. This is called "Ünsüz düşmesi" and i need translation of "ünsüz düşmesi" and one sentence that descibes this formation process.

5. Pekiştirme

In some turkish words, word gets a prefix, to stronger the meaning. For example,

"sağlam" (durable) gets sapa- and becomes "sapasağlam" (very durable, stable). This formation process is called "Pekiştirme" and again i dont know translation of Pekiştirme and i need one sentence that describes this formation process.

I am having trouble expressing, telling turkish word formation to foreigners, because lack of knowledge about the concept. Also i am unable to find a good source (in english) that describes word formation process.

And i need help about finding (if there is) another formation process that effects root of the word.

In English we would call these "dropping a vowel" and "dropping a consonant".
