Merhaba.

I need help translating this sentence from a press article:

"Açıklama Adana’da, 10 dakika arayla gerçekleştirilen çifte cinayette ilginç ayrıntılar ortaya çıkmaya başladı. "

What is the word "açıklama" doing at the very beginning of the sentence??

The rest is quite clear to me: "Interesting details in (the case of) a murder of a couple, which was committed with a 10-minute interval in Adana, have begun to come out."

Is there a place for "açıklama" (=statement, explanation) in this translation?

Yeah it looks weird that way. But if you put " : " this sign, it makes sense.

Açıklama: Adana´da.......

"Açıklama Adana’da, 10 dakika arayla gerçekleştirilen çifte cinayette ilginç ayrıntılar ortaya çıkmaya başladı. "  Statement: "Interesting details are coming out in a double murder case which has been commited in Adana 10 minutes apart from each other."
